Meet the team

Wyo Roots Health is built on the belief that caring for people is a calling

We created this practice with the community in mind: families, working folks, and seniors of Sheridan who are looking for something more personal out of their healthcare. It is a privilege to serve every person who walks through our door, and we look forward to being a part of your health journey.

MEET YOUR PROVIDER

Nina Beach, MN, FNP-C, AOCNP

Family Nurse Practitioner · Advanced Oncology Certified

Nina’s roots became grounded in Wyoming at the age of two.  She grew up in Saratoga in the southern part of the state where she developed her strong work ethic working alongside her parents and brother on a ranch,  raising her own 4-H animals, participating in several extracurricular activities and soaking in all that Wyoming has to offer.  She was the Valedictorian of her class and then went on to get her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Creighton University in Omaha, NE.

She started working as a nurse tech while in school on an Oncology floor in the hospital and fell in love with that specialty. Nina moved to Oregon to experience another part of the country when she graduated and started her career as an Oncology Nurse in Portland.  She spent 8 years there and was named Nurse of the Year at Providence Portland Medical Center. In 2006, she completed her Master’s in Nursing at Washington State University in preparation to move back to Wyoming.

She returned to Wyoming in 2006 and worked mostly at the Urgent Care of Casper Urgent Care where she worked for 10 years, learning the skills to care for acute illness and perform minor procedures.  She then moved here to Sheridan, where she had the privilege of caring for patients at the Welch Cancer Center. She spent years walking alongside these patients and their families during their hardest seasons, holding their hands through diagnosis, treatment and everything in between.

Nina was recognized by the Wyoming Nurses Association with the Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing Award, which is given to nurse practitioners who bring an innovative, autonomous, and deeply patient-centered approach to their practice.

At Wyo Roots, Nina brings that same spirit, unhurried and present to a practice that she has long believed was possible.  She can’t wait to build a primary care option for the community with evidence-based medicine again with that traditional value, Wyoming-rooted feel.  She believes every patient deserves a provider who knows what it truly means to serve.

I truly feel blessed and privileged to be in the Sheridan community serving families and neighbors.
